Edward A. McDonough, BSME, MBA, CFP®


Edward A. McDonough BSME, MBA, CFP ®  specializes in helping individuals accumulate and preserve wealth. He has been working with clients and investments since 1987.

Ed graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he worked as a Petroleum Field Engineer in Texas for Schlumberger Well Services before deciding to return to Lehigh for his Masters in Business Administration. Ed, a deans list student, completed his MBA in Finance and landed a job selling computer hardware and software for IBM to Dupont, Inc. in Wilmington Delaware. After three exciting years at IBM, Ed decided to start an investment career with Smith Barney in Orlando Florida. Ed then completed his Certified Financial Planning licensing and grew his Financial planning business diligently for the next 12 years. In 1999, Ed sought independence and established McDonough Capital Management in downtown Orlando and affiliated with Raymond James. Now Ed is an independent registered investment advisor and principal with Triad Advisors.

Ed's client base includes Doctors, Lawyers, CPA's, Small Business Owners, Officers and Directors of Corporations, Corporate Executives, Young Professionals, and High Net worth Individuals and Retirees. Through outstanding service and Ed's commitment to excellence, he has expanded his business through referrals. Ed's goal is to establish, execute and maintain a tailored long-term financial investment plan for each client. Ed brings both experience and a commitment to client service. He combines a growth and income oriented philosophy with a sensitivity to risk tolerance and respect for preservation of capital and tax efficiency. Ed holds the following licenses: Series 7-General Securities, Series 63-State Uniform Securities, Series 65-Uniform Investments Advisor, Series 24-General Securities Principal. In addition, he holds Life, Health, and Variable Insurance Licenses and Certified Financial Planner™ License.

Ed resides in Southwest Orlando with his wife, Anne, and two children, Shannon and Evan. Ed is an avid golfer and enjoys basketball, boating, and other out door recreational activities with the family.

Camie Nguyen

Portfolio Manager

Camie Nguyen  has over 19 years of investment, research, compliance, accounting and financial experience. Before joining McDonough Capital Management in May 2006, she was a Research Analyst, junior Portfolio Manager and Compliance Associate at Western Pacific Investment Advisers in Portland, Oregon, since March 1997. She graduated from Portland State University with degrees in Accounting and Finance.

Here at McDonough Capital Management, Camie will assist the Principal in daily maintenance of portfolios, stock/bond/mutual fund/ETF research, accounting, bookkeeping, marketing, and compliance related matters. She holds the Series 65-Uniform Investments Advisor License.

Nhi Nguyen

Operations Manager

Nhi Nguyen  had enjoyed a successful portfolio administration and technology career with Western Pacific Investment Advisers, Inc., a wealth-management office in Portland, Oregon, since 1999. She is a graduate of the School of Business Administration at Portland State University, and holds degrees in Finance and Information Systems. She joined the firm in October of 2005.

Nhi focuses on technical research analysis, maintains our database and provides technical and operational support within the firm. She is responsible for managing day-to-day operations to ensure the firm's clients receive the most efficient service possible. She also manages all portfolio performance reporting generated for the firm's clients, and coordinates the use of the firm's sophisticated financial planning and portfolio management software.

David Germana, MBA

Dave Germana utilizes a consultative process with clients to understand their needs in the areas of estate, business and charitable planning. Dave identifies client goals, reviews available solutions, presents the best options to the client, then implements the plans by working closely together. Throughout the case process, Dave's focus is set on adding value to the client. In the past, Dave has served as a financial representative, business planning specialist, insurance advisor, and auditor.

Dave understands the advisory business and is ready to provide clients the objective analysis and consultative process necessary to guide appropriate decision making regarding wealth transfer, retirement and business planning issues.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where he earned his MBA as well as his BA in Economics. He played college football at Valparaiso University in Indiana. Dave has been a resident of Florida since 1983 and currently lives in Lake Mary, Florida with his wife, Kirsten and his children, Matthew and Lauren. He attends a variety of sporting events, enjoys travel, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

David Crowder, CPA

Dave Crowder has worked in income taxes and related issues for 38 years. Eleven with the IRS and 27 in private practice.

Dave was raised in Gainesville Florida and received his degree from the University of Florida. He served 3 years in the army, with one year tour in Vietnam.

He has been married 45 years, not sure how he got so lucky but he was truly blessed. He has two children and five Grand kids.

Daves office has grown much larger than he thought it would. He first thought he was going to have himself and his wife working and that would be all. His wife said no, might be why they are still married. So from a small one person office they have grown to what they have now.

Dave has had a few hobbies in the past. Racquetball, golf, fishing skeet shooting and now box making. All the others require time in the sun and he doesn't like to be out as he used to be.

He enjoys traveling and have been to Europe, Alaska, Mexico, Greece, Central America, all kinds of Islands, Holland, England, Canada, Germany, France, Austria, Australia, Korea, CZ and our NE coast. Now you might understand all the stuff in his office. They have plans to cover parts in the US that they have not seen and will start soon on that adventure. No campers anything but a camper.

If he can get his wife to agree, he still wants to see Russia and China. These would be long trips so hes not sure if they will go or not.

James Graham

James Graham brings exceptionally diverse and unique experience, from both in and outside of the legal profession, to the representation of clients at Thompson, Evangelo & Kelly, P.A.; a former U.S. Army officer and pilot who served in the Persian Gulf War, Jim also has over 15 years of training and business expertise that spans multiple industries ranging from aviation and telecommunications to State Government and the entertainment business. Working for both small businesses and large corporations, Jim earned positions in executive management and has also been a business owner.

As an attorney, Jim has significant litigation and trial experience gained as a criminal prosecutor serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida. His legal experience also includes practice in the areas of labor and employment, family, contract, business, consumer, and criminal law. Jim also dedicates a significant amount of time to Pro Bono work, providing no cost assistance to legal aid and other organizations.

At Thompson, Evangelo & Kelly, P.A., Jim's focus is Estate Planning and Estate Administration, which he defines as helping families and individuals to plan for and get through the inevitable time when they will pass on their wisdom and estate to their family and loved ones. Having personally endured tragic losses, including the death of his son, Jim brings the highest levels of empathy and understanding to the estate planning and administration processes.

Jim is a graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was also a teaching assistant, and Middle Tennessee State University, cum laude, where he majored in business and technology.

Originally from Massachusetts, Jim has both lived and traveled extensively world-wide.

George Jackson MBA, CPA, CFA, CFP®, CMT, CLU, ChFC - Managing Member/Chief Investment Officer/Chief Executive Officer of Jackson Wealth Management, LLC is also a Certified Public Accountant with George P. Jackson P.A. CPA, an accounting firm. George was the Chief Financial Officer of two public companies, and is also a Registered Investment Adviser of McDonough Capital Management.

George graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting and advance his careers with a Masters of Business Administration in Quantitative Analysis.

He is one of the most highly trained investment consultants in the United States. He has been working with clients since 1982. Not only does he have significant experience in accounting, he also has extensive experience in taxes and investments. He has been an auditor and consultant with the international accounting firm of Price Waterhouse Coopers, CPAs. He is also a member of the CFA institute.

George was also named in the Orlando Business Journals list of the Top 10 Wealth Management Advisors in Central Florida, published April 18, 2008. The distinguished 10 advisors had no compliance issues, at least seven years of financial service experience, acceptable legal records, client retention reports, customer satisfaction reports and community involvement.

In addition, George was named in Research Magazines list of State-by-State Winners Circle, published January 2006. Rankings were filtered down from a list of over 7,000 nominations. The Winners Circle team vetted each advisor through a host of quantitative and qualitative criteria, ranging from assets managed, revenues produced, experience levels, acceptable compliance records and U4 forms, discussions with management and more. Advisors serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth were selected. Client portfolio performance is not a criterion.
